- The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for transcribing dictated medical reports from a variety of healthcare professionals and preparing these reports for patient care and medical records. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as incorrect transcription could lead to serious implications for patient care. The Medical Transcriptionist will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely transcription of medical reports.
- Requirements
- Post-secondary training in medical transcription.
Certification as a healthcare documentation specialist would be advantageous.
2-3 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist, or similar.
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems, such as AdvancedMD and Kareo Clinical EHR.
