They are responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and providing technical support to researchers and educators. Their responsibilities may include preparing samples, conducting routine tests, recording data, and maintaining inventory.
- Requirements
- A minimum of a BSc in medical diagnostics, medical technology or an equivalent with a specialist in medical microbiology;
6 Years of experience in medical microbiology in a human clinical laboratory in developing countries with at least two years’ experience in a laboratory quality management role
Knowledge and experience in the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases including specific hands-on laboratory experience.
