Description: The Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The role requires a knowledgeable and proactive individual with excellent communication skills. The Safety Officer will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as employees and management, to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
Provide safety training and education to employees.
Investigate accidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with management to develop and maintain emergency response plans.
Monitor safety performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Stay informed about safety regulations and industry best practices.
Liaise with external safety agencies and regulatory bodies as needed.
Promote a culture of safety and create awareness among employees.

Requirements: Requirements
Proven experience as safety manager
Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
Excellent organizational and motivational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
