Description
Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers.
Food Preparation & Quality: Supervise food preparation and cooking processes, ensure food quality and safety standards, and maintain portion sizes.
Inventory and Ordering: Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs.
Menu Development: Collaborate with chefs to develop menus, and may also be involved in menu pricing.
Scheduling and Efficiency: Schedule kitchen staff shifts, maintain efficient workflows, and ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
Financial Management: Track kitchen finances, monitor costs, and manage budgets.
Problem Solving: Resolve any kitchen-related issues or complaints.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in restaurant management or certification from culinary school is required.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
