Description
As a Consultant Radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting and accurately diagnosing images from various modalities including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs. You will also perform and oversee interventional procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and injections under imaging guidance. Your expertise in all areas of radiology will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy of reports.



Key responsibilities:



- Interpret and diagnose medical images from various modalities, including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs

- Perform and oversee interventional procedures under imaging guidance

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses

- Communicate effectively with patients to prepare them for procedures and explain the results of their imaging

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, reports, and patient interactions

- Stay updated on advancements and changes in the field of radiology and implement new techniques and technologies as needed

- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff



Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
3 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in radiology.
Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice.
Proficient in general radiology techniques, including X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound.
Patient management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
