Description: Diagnosing and treating conditions: Pulmonologists diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, including:
Asthma
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Bronchiectasis
Pulmonary fibrosis
Sarcoidosis
Lung cancer
Cystic fibrosis
Pulmonary vascular disease
Obstructive sleep apnea
Monitoring respiratory issues: Pulmonologists monitor respiratory issues throughout a patients journey.
Addressing sleep and fatigue issues: Pulmonologists address sleep and fatigue issues.
Preventing respiratory diseases: Pulmonologists prevent respiratory diseases through lung cancer screening and smoking cessation programs.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
3 to 7 years’ internship and clinical residency training, specializing in pulmonology.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding research and analytical skills.
Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
Flexible working hours.
