Description
We have a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our patient services team. We are looking for someone with a passion for primary care and the drive to support our clinical service.

Reporting to the Administration Manager, the ideal candidate will ideally have worked in a busy surgery, and/or in a similar administrative role. This opportunity will involve processing incoming patient information, liaising with internal and external healthcare professionals as well as other administrative duties including supporting our reception team.

Patient Administrator Responsibilities:

-To have a thorough knowledge of all administration procedures.
-To work in accordance with written protocols.
-To carry out specific administration tasks.
-Processing, clinical coding and workflow of incoming mail.
-Summarising incoming medical records.
-Deduction and redirection of patient records.
-Referrals and E-referrals.
-Issuing patient medication and dealing with any queries over the telephone.
-Covering Reception when short staffed.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in healthcare administration or related (essential).
Current CPR certification (essential).
2 years of experience at a healthcare facility in a hospital administrator role (essential).
Good knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD, and CPT coding (highly advantageous).
Critical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Great attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Superb organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
Passionate about clinical excellence.
