Description
Required Quantity Surveyor for Contracting company in Abu Dhabi
Qualification
• Bachelors in civil engineering
Exprience
• Min 5 years UAE experience in Building Construction with similar position
Excellent Proficiency in English is a must.
Skills:
• Computer literate
• Excellent knowledge for Project Management & ERP tools implemented in UAE
• MS Office 365 – Proficient User
• Excellent knowledge of Prequalification requirement for different UAE clients
• Excellent understanding of Business procedures and Contractual obligations
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
• Primavera P6
• Excellent follow-up and management skills
Responsibilities
Knowledge of Quantity Take-off
Interim payment certificate process
Process knowledge of building construction project
Attend Project progress/co-ordination meetings where necessary.
Liaise with the Project Control for monitoring variation/ claim aspects across the Company.
Attend and contribute the status of claims and associated actions at monthly target meetings.
Contractual correspondence in conjunction with the Project Manager and PQS for complicated/major claim issues.
Final Accounts (Client / Subcontractors) in conjunction with relevant parties.
Monitor Tender/Contract Comparison efforts on an ongoing basis in conjunction with the relevant staff. Review Contract Review Checklists periodically.
Companywide Claims identification and administration
Review of all subcontractors claim issues, whenever necessary.
Periodical review of Payment Certificates for all subcontractors to ensure that payments are being made as per the subcontract agreements.
Contractual/Claim issues relating to Client payment demands up to the Final Account.

Requirements
Convert and validate Engineering outputs, prepare, and provide data input files for ERP system for costing, revenue, and accounting purpose.
Prepare comparison reports for Initial Bills of Quantities and Actual Quantities.
Preparation of preliminary cost estimates and cost plans of a pipe shop fabrication project.
Prepare Cost Estimates and preparation of pricing documents such as for Post Award changes, variation, and additional work.
Identify new/additional Billing Quantities compared to existing Schedule of Rates
Provide input for Finance department for monthly and quarterly revenue recognitions.
Preparation of the Bill of Quantities and/or specification documents for Subcontracts tendering purpose.
Pricing of Bill of Quantities or negotiating and agreeing Schedule of Rates.
Review request for variation orders, claims and back charges.
Verify and validate the subcontractor’s Invoices based on the interim payments for milestone or progress billing.
Reconciliation final settlement bills of quantities for Project Closing.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
