- Description
- We are currently looking for a Hospital Billing Analyst responsible for overseeing and improving a hospitals billing processes
to ensure accurate and efficient revenue generation. They analyze claims data, identify errors, and work to maximize reimbursements
while complying with industry regulations. This role also involves implementing new billing systems, auditing existing practices, and
providing support to other departments on billing-related issues.
Responsibilities of Billing Analyst
* Promotes and maintains Revenue Cycle Integration and claims standards for HB
*Have accountability for the oversee of day-to-day operational activities, accurately assess the workload and deploy available team resources optimally, maintain compliance and quality standards and ensure timely billing and collection of receivables to avoid loss of revenue
*Customer Support- Interacts with customers in a timely manner
*Works all identified insurance requirement edits through the electronic billing system
*Communicates issues with patient access and facility departments
*Researches required information and maintains pending follow up on a daily/weekly basis
*Manages and maintains the billing processes and programs to provide effective electronic filing strategies
*Provides ongoing training and education to billing staff to ensure that policies and procedures are followed
*Meets with the Billing Manager regularly to effectively communicate and resolve billing issues, set and prioritize goals, improve processes and review insurance and billing status
*Retrieves and maintains electronic filing and edit reports
- Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and accounting software programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize.
