Description: JOB SUMMARY: Provide diagnostic and procedural coding services .

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Diagnostic and procedural coding, including but not limited to, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, emergency room, observation, consultation, anesthesia services by assigning appropriate ICD-10, ICD-9, HCPCS, and CPT codes to include professional and technical codes.
Applies knowledge of anatomy and physiology, clinical disease processes, pharmacology, diagnostic and procedural terminology and coding guidelines to assign accurate codes to diagnoses and procedures.
Utilizes encoding reimbursement tools, coding books, coding conventions, guidelines, internet resources, and references to select the most accurate/descriptive ICD, CPT, HCPCS code and APC/ ASC assignments.
Analyzes information from the documentation to identify secondary complications and co-morbid conditions.
Responsible for flagging documentation that cannot be completely processed due to illegibility, lack of diagnoses, unclear documentation, etc., and shall return the documents to the Medical Records/Health Information Supervisor for clarification.
Analyzes charge tickets to ensure documentation on record supports levels of care, procedures performed, supplies and equipment used, and room charges.
Appropriately assigns codes, modifiers, professional and technical components for all services and procedures performed during the visit and sequences them correctly.

Requirements: This position is for a Medical Coder / Biller for new medical centre in Al AIn town centre. Preference will be given to Urdu / Hindi / Bengali speaking candidates. Can consider part time work. Those on husbands sponsorship are encouraged to apply. Send CV via email.
