Description
diagnoses and treats conditions of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, performing surgeries and non-surgical procedures, developing individualized treatment plans, and educating patients. Key responsibilities include conducting medical examinations, using diagnostic tests, performing minimally invasive surgeries like robotic or laser surgery, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Consultants also supervise and mentor junior medical staff, participate in research, and contribute to hospital administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:
Provide expert consultation and treatment for urological conditions such as kidney stones, prostate cancer, and urinary incontinence.

Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough physical examinations, review patient histories, and order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, imaging, biopsies).
Treatment Planning:
Develop personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, performing surgical interventions, and recommending non-surgical approaches.
Procedures:
Perform a range of surgical and non-surgical procedures, including cystoscopies, minimally invasive surgeries, and robotic surgeries.
Patient Education:
Counsel patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and strategies for maintaining urological health.
Collaboration:
Work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Supervision & Teaching:
Mentor, supervise, and train residents, fellows, and junior medical staff.
Research & Administration:
Engage in clinical research, contribute to quality improvement projects, and participate in hospital committees and administrative functions.
On-Call Duties:
Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency care when necessary.
