- Assessment & Diagnosis:
Evaluate patients to identify problems with speech, language, swallowing, voice, and cognitive-communication.
Treatment Planning:
Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to specific patient needs and functional goals.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Implement exercises and activities to help patients improve communication skills, voice quality, fluency, and swallowing function.
Education & Counseling:
Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to cope with and manage their conditions.
Collaboration:
Work with other professionals, such as doctors, nurses, social workers, and teachers, to coordinate care and achieve better outcomes.
Record Keeping:
Document patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress to maintain accurate and detailed records.
