- A Prosthodontist is a specialized dentist who focuses on restoring and replacing missing or damaged teeth and supporting tissues, including teeth, jaws, and facial structures. They are highly trained in dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and other restorative procedures, as well as treating complex dental conditions like temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) and sleep apnea.
- Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).
Appropriate state licensure.
Certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics.
Proven experience working as a prosthodontist.
Sound knowledge of fixed and removable prosthodontics.
