- A physiotherapy assistant works under the direction of a physiotherapist to assist patients with their treatment plans, exercises, and other aspects of their care. They help patients with exercises, demonstrate how to use mobility aids, and monitor patient progress. Physiotherapy assistants also help prepare equipment, keep records, and may assist with clerical tasks.

- Certification from a physical therapist assistant program.
Valid physical therapist assistant license.
A high school qualification or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and move patients.
Computer literacy skills.
