- An Orthopedic Spine Surgeon diagnoses, treats, and manages spinal disorders and injuries, including performing surgeries to correct spinal deformities, relieve pain, and improve patient mobility and quality of life. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop individualized treatment plans, and conduct pre- and post-operative assessments.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
4 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in orthopedic surgery.
