Description: Comprehensive Eye Exams:
Conduct detailed eye examinations to assess visual acuity, field of vision, hand-eye coordination, and overall eye health.
Diagnosis:
Diagnose a wide range of vision defects, eye diseases, injuries, and abnormalities.
Treatment:
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses) and providing medications for eye conditions.
Patient Care:
Provide patient counseling on eye care techniques, contact lens management, and the connection between general health and vision.
Specialized Services:
Offer specialized care, such as managing low vision, and provide care for specific patient populations, like children.
Referrals:
Refer patients to ophthalmologists (eye surgeons) or other specialists for advanced treatment or surgery when required.
Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of diagnoses and treatment plans.
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with optical staff, other optometrists, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
