- Purpose:
Junior Specialist – the role holder will be responsible to ensure the adherence with cGMP principles, Good laboratory practices and to maintain them in an effective manner. Responsible for performing Viable and Non-viable monitoring in Production plants and in Microbiology laboratory, receiving of samples from different plants across Julphar facility and assigning QC reference number.
Key responsibilities & Accountability:
• Responsible for performing Viable monitoring in production plants and Microbiology laboratory.
• Responsible for performing Non-Viable monitoring in production plants and Microbiology laboratory. • Responsible for receiving and storing the samples in appropriate storage conditions. • Responsible for water testing Releasing and related documentation.
• Responsible for Trends preparation related to Environmental monitoring and water analysis.
• Responsible for Swab bioburden analysis and related documentation.
• Responsible for Plates Pouring and related documentation.
• Maintain and ensure that all information is recorded accurately in line with standard guidelines of GLP, GMP, GDP • Maintain accurate records and perform tests on all activities conducted in the laboratory.
• Apart from above, the works assigned by the Head of the department/designee.

- Requirements
- Microbiologist Requirements:
Degree in microbiology or biochemistry or related (essential).
2 years of experience as a microbiologist (essential).
Ability to plan and execute experimental protocols.
Excellent knowledge of electron microscopes, electronic equipment, chemical samples, and stains and weighing equipment.
Highly skilled in microbiology techniques, methodology, equipment and supplies.
In-depth knowledge of laboratory tests used in microbiology work.
Proficient in methods and practices of microbiological analysis.
Great ability to prepare research papers and technical reports.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
Strong leader who displays accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong IT and math skills.
Excellent laboratory skills.
Willingness to keep up-to-date with current information and research.
