- A Laser Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laser systems in a variety of settings like medical clinics, industrial facilities, or research labs, ensuring safe and accurate operation while adhering to strict safety protocols, performing patient consultations (in medical settings), and providing post-treatment care when necessary; requiring technical knowledge of laser technology, precise handling of equipment, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Photonics, Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience working as a Photonics Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and practices is a plus.
Proficiency in using CAD software for designing and modeling photonics systems is desirable.
Knowledge of programming languages, such as MATLAB or Python, is advantageous.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
