Description: A Laboratory Specialist is a scientific professional responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing samples, maintaining equipment, and recording accurate data within a specific area of expertise, often supporting research or diagnostic procedures, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols; their duties may include preparing samples, operating specialized equipment, troubleshooting issues, and documenting results according to established procedures.

Requirements: A minimum of a BSc in medical diagnostics, medical technology or an equivalent with a specialist in medical microbiology;
4 Years of experience in medical microbiology in a human clinical laboratory in developing countries with at least two years’ experience in a laboratory quality management role Knowledge and experience in the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases including specific hands-on laboratory experience.
