- A Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by preparing samples, setting up equipment, performing routine tests, maintaining cleanliness, recording data, and following established safety procedures under the supervision of a scientist or lab technician, ensuring accurate and reliable results in a research or clinical setting
- Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in science preferred
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in using basic lab equipment and tools
Familiarity with data entry and record-keeping
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift light equipment
Previous lab experience is a plus but not required
