Description: Gynecologists diagnose and treat conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, and cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancer.
Performing procedures
Gynecologists perform procedures such as colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, Pap smears, and vulvar biopsy. They may also perform surgeries such as cesarean sections.
Providing preventive care
Gynecologists perform routine screenings, such as breast exams and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screenings

Requirements: Doctor of medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree.
State license to practice medicine.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Proven experience working as a gynecologist.
The ability to make quick decisions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
