Description: As a reputed multi-speciality hospital, we are looking for a specialized Gastroenterologist to diagnose and treat diseases of the digestive system. Ability to examine patients to determine what’s causing the patient’s symptoms. Specialized to use a variety of tools, including endoscopes and biopsies, to diagnose the cause of the problem.

Gastroenterologist Duties and Responsibilities

Consulting with patients to diagnose the cause of abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, weight loss, and other symptoms
Performing a variety of diagnostic tests, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and upper endoscopy procedures
Requesting lab tests and scans where required for diagnosis
Analyzing the results of diagnostic tests to determine a diagnosis and plan treatment options
Prescribing medications
Recommending lifestyle changes to manage gastrointestinal problems
Keeping medical records and liaising with a team of doctors where necessary for patient care

Requirements: Gastroenterologist Requirements / Skills / Qualifications

Degree in Medicine
Certification to practice Gastroenterology
Residency/Fellowship within Gastroenterology positions
Proficient in computer hardware/software and diagnostic machinery
Strong communicative and interpersonal skills
Developed bedside manner
Experience diagnosing and treating patients
3+ years experience as Gastroenterologist
