- The minimum qualifications for an ENT physician assistant include a master’s degree in a physician assistant program. After graduation, you have to obtain your physician assistant license. All US states require licensure for you to practice. The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is the organization that administers the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination. To maintain your physician’s assistant license, you must do 100 hours of continuing education every two years.
