- A dental technician, also known as a dental technologist, is a healthcare professional who creates and repairs dental appliances and artificial teeth. They work with dentists and other dental specialists to create custom-made devices that improve a patients appearance, speech, and ability to chew.
- Requirements
- Accredited dental laboratory technology program.
Certified Dental Technician (CDT) preferred.
At least 2 years of experience as a dental laboratory technician.
In-depth knowledge of dental prostheses, devices, and related technologies.
Extensive experience in constructing, replacing, repairing, and restoring dental devices.
Proficiency in dental laboratory computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, such as 3 Shape and Delfin Dental.
