- We are seeking a skilled Clinical Pathologist to join our team and contribute to disease study, diagnosis, and treatment. As a Clinical Pathologist, you will be responsible for analyzing bodily fluids and tissue samples, conducting laboratory tests, and collaborating with Doctors to diagnose illnesses and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Clinical Pathologist Responsibilities
-Stay up to date with developments in the fields of pathology and medical practice
-Study blood samples for transfusion use including the blood type, blood group, cell morphology, and compatibility with other blood types
-Use medical equipment and computerized systems to perform various lab tests
-Operate laboratory equipment such as cell counters and microscopes
Log data from lab tests and enter results in patient’s record
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
4 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in pathology.
Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).
Certification by The American Board of Pathology in pathology and/or a sub-specialty, such as hematology, forensic pathology, or transfusion medicine.
Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice.
