Description
We are looking for a dedicated, analytical chemist to be responsible for studying the chemical make-up of materials that are essential in manufacturing business to ensure product safety. The chemists responsibilities include preparing test solutions, analyzing organic and inorganic compounds, and conducting quality control tests. The Chemist will conduct research and explore how products, processes, and equipment may be improved.

Chemist Responsibilities:
Preparing test solutions, compounds, and reagents for conducting tests and advising and coordinating test procedures.
Determining chemical and physical properties, compositions, structures, relationships, and reactions of organic and inorganic compounds.
Using chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques.
Developing, improving, and customizing products, equipment, formulas, processes, and analytical methods.
Conferring with scientists and engineers to analyze, interpret, and develop tests.
Introducing heat, light, energy, and chemical catalysts to chemical substances to induce reactions.
Writing technical papers and reports, and preparing standards and specifications for processes, tests, and products.
Maintaining laboratory instruments, troubleshooting malfunctions, and purchasing new laboratory supplies.
Evaluating and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards.
Requirements
Conduct research and development activities to develop new chemical compounds, materials, and processes.
Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to drive innovation and problem-solving.
Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to develop and execute project plans.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior chemists and laboratory staff.
Develop and optimize chemical processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Perform chemical analysis and characterization using a variety of techniques and instruments.
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Keep accurate records of experiments, methodologies, and results in compliance with industry standards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemical technology and contribute to the development of intellectual property.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of chemical processes into product development.
Senior Chemist Required Skills
Strong knowledge of chemistry principles, theories, and laboratory techniques.
Proficiency in designing and executing experiments, as well as analyzing and interpreting data.
Knowledge of chemical analysis techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and microscopy.
Experience in developing and optimizing chemical processes.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to chemical processes and materials.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to chemical handling and laboratory practices.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
